  My wife and I drove over two hours from eastern Tennessee to see what birds the aviary had for sale. We called Lynda (the owner) to let her know we were coming and when we arrived we found her outside her business handling several young birds. Lynda showed us several sun conures and other conures that were weaned and ready for sale. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the cages of the birds and with the gentleness of the birds that we handled there. We decided to purchase a beautiful young male sun conure and a suitable cage and toys from Lynda. While we went to lunch nearby, Lynda set up the cage and toys for us. We returned home and were delighted to see how gentle our young sun conure was. We named him Zeke. I taught Zeke to step up and step down in about twenty minutes and when I took him for a baseline visit with an avian vet two days later he stepped up on command by the vet to come out of the cage. Zeke passed his avian vet examination with flying colors and has continued to become more tame and relaxed with us as time goes by. We are very happy with Zeke and we credit Tweety Bird Aviary for socializing its birds as much as possible. This makes handling a new bird much easier. At Tweety Bird Aviary, Zeke had been fed a high quality bird food and (thawed) frozen vegetables. We have had Zeke for a month now and he has not bitten nor tried to bite either me or my wife in this time. Zeke has begun trying to talk and only yesterday took his first short nap while cupped in my hands. Zeke has (as expected) chewed up one of his original cage toys and Lynda from Tweety Bird Aviary was nice enough to ship several purchased replacement toys to us from Huntsville. We can recommend Tweety Bird Aviary to others looking for a healthy, reasonably socialized exotic bird.
